On a Midsummer’s night, deep in the forest, the Fairy King and Queen cross paths with four runaway lovers and a troupe of actors rehearsing a play. The magical royal couple, along with a mischievous spritely puck, Robin Goodfellow, tamper with mortal lives, leading to love triangles, mistaken identities and transformations with hilarious, but wicked consequences…
SE Theatre Company returns to Stratford-upon-Avon with their own take on one of Shakespeare’s best loved plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This fast paced, funny and dark new production promises to enchant the Bard’s fans, veteran and new alike.

Credits with SE: This is Joshua’s debut with SE Theatre Company.
Training: Joshua trained at East 15 Acting School.
Credits: Friar Lawrence in Romeo + Juliet (Chelmsford Civiv Theatre; Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk (Eva Long Productions); Sam in Winter ’53 (fEast Theatre); and various roles with Performance and Education.
Joshua is also a writer. Writing credits include: Grief Encounter (Camden Fringe); A Time When That Seemed Ordinary (Southend Fringe); Knackered Bras (rehearsed reading at The Music Cafe). His newest play ‘Things That Divide Us’ runs at 53two in Manchester throughout September 2022.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream has always been Joshua’s favourite Shakespeare play. He is delighted to be performing it in such a wonderful and magical space.

Fiona is also currently working as Director and Co-Producer on ‘Faustine’ by Lucy Padwick. A new write feminist adaptation of ‘Faustus’ by Christopher Marlowe. She will also be playing Mephi in this productions debut, on 30th & 31st October at The Hope Theatre Islington.

Izzy is also a performer at Warwick Castle within their Dungeons and Princess attractions.
Izzy is a talented instrumentalist and singer, taking particular pride in her musical theatre ambitions. She is thrilled to be making her debut in such an exciting version of Shakespeare’s famous fairy comedy and can’t wait to see where it takes her.

Florence is very excited to be part of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and has loved working with the joyous cast and crew of SE Theatre Company. Offstage, Florence spends time on her family farm in South Yorkshire and baking to feed friends and family.

Born in Hong Kong, and educated in Asia, Australia and England, Piers MacKenzie has experience and training in theatre, film and television. His peripatetic lifestyle has allowed him to see different world theatre forms and to attend master classes by renowned practitioners. Most recently Piers has written, produced, and acted in his digital solo show Essential Worker.
